JAMES FRANCIS EDWARD STUART (1688-1766). Only son of James II. The 'Old Pretender'.
Autograph Letter Signed ('Giacomo R'), in Italian, to his cousin the Prince of Montemiletto, 1 page 4to, separate address wrapper bearing red wax seal, Rome, 4 February 1725. A letter of congratulations on the birth of his son, with assurances of affection towards his house and pious recollections of a meeting with the Pope.
With a translation, complete except for one phrase, which is an educated guess.
