RUSKIN, John (1819-1900). Author, artist & social reformer.
Cabinet photograph (head and shoulders) by Elliott & Fry, signed and inscribed on the lower mount to Edward Stowe, 1883. Rather worn at the extreme lower edge and a little rubbed, but otherwise in good condition. Edward Stowe is not a name mentioned in any of the standard biographies of Ruskin.
