Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent ('My dear Friend'), 3 pages 8vo, Admiralty (but giving his address as 6 Devonshire Place), 12 September 1844. Concerning an alarming outbreak of scarlet fever in his household and asking for a nurse to be seen if needed.

'As my dearest Catherine considers herself too much infected with Scarlet Fever to write to you, she deputes me to say that we shall be truly obliged if you will pave the way for a Sister of Charity to come to us at No. 6 Devonshire Place as a Nurse, should we need it, which seems daily more likely. Louisa, as perhaps you know, has had scarlet fever a week, and is doing very well ...'

Parry's first wife, Isabella Louisa, daughter of Lord Stanley of Alderley, had died in 1839 and Parry in 1841 married Catherine Edwards, the widow of Samuel Hoare.
