MESSIAEN, Olivier-Eugène-Prosper-Charles (1908-1992). French composer, organist & teacher.
Programme of the concert given at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, 25 February 1968, with a lengthy message, signed, on the back cover (lightly soiled). Together with a card from Yvonne [Loriot] Messiaen with autograph note on a printed acknowledgement card for a message of sympathy following the composer's death.
The programme is inscribed with a message of thanks to the Greek harpsichordist, Lina Lalandi, whose English Bach Festival had sponsored the concert, comprising Visions de l'Amen, Cycle, and Couleurs de la Cité Céleste.
