Autograph Letter Signed to Jeffrey [Brown], 1 page 4to with envelope, 22 Bedford Place, London, 11 June 1963. A warmly written acknowledgement of Brown's letter of approval, and a confession that the next book will be some time in coming ('I keep on starting in the wrong place, and having to do it again').
'... Remembering what some of my schoolmasters used to say to, and about, me, few things give me greater pleasure than to hear of a schoolmaster who approves and recommends my stories. ...'
Wyndham's next book, Chocky. did not appear until 1968.
Letters of John Wyndham, best known for The Day of the Triffids, are quite scarce.
