'Enclosed I send you a Copy of what I desire you will read on the Publick Qua[r]ter Deck ... to the Captain Officers and Ships Company, leaving a Copy with the Captain and another with the Officers - when you have read it I must desire you will ask publickly if the Captain Officers or Ships Company have any objection, with their reasons, if any ... .'
