SCOTT, Tom (1918-1995). Scottish poet, critic and anthologist.
Brand the Builder, the original corrected typescript (two stages) and completed artwork and copy for the Ember Press edition of 1975. Together with additional and related material.
(1) Original corrected typescript prepared by Scott on 4to pages numbered by hand 98-153, the original sections separately numbered in typescript. The original title 'Sant-Aundraes' annotated in pencil by the publisher: 'This became Brand the Builder'.
(2) Rough copy prepared by the publisher, 44 pages folio with titlepage, annotated throughout by the author.
(3) The typescripts of shorter poems:
Tweedle MacDum and Tweedle MacDee, 1 page 4to.
On a Pillar o the Kirk, 1 page 4to, scored through and annotated 'Cancelled'.
Epistle to David Morrison, 11 pages 4to with one additional page inserted, corrected throughout.
Tinekeyenif (The land that God forgot), 2 pages 4to.
Typescripts of the blurb and biographical information.
The original artwork by Rigby Graham for the cover, laminated.
The publisher's camera-ready copy as supplied to the printer.
