PISSARRO, Lucien (1863-1944). French landscape painter and engraver.
Autograph Letter Signed to [Pierre] Dauze, 1 page 8vo on squared paper with postscript on a facing page, Paris, 26 May 1910. A letter to the secretary of bibliophilic society 'Le Livre Contemporain', who were commissioning La Charrue d'Erable from Lucien, attempting to settle matters before his departure for London, etc.
Lucien sends a letter of his father, Camille Pissarro (no longer included), asks whether Dauze has written to Mirbeau, and thanks him belatedly for a delightful afternoon. In a postscript he adds that his brother (Paulémile-Pissarro) would put off his suggested edition of the Thousand One Nights, with coloured lithographs in view of the fact that Lucien and society wer already in negotiations for Travaux des Champs.
